SMS Notification Consent Policy

Who Receives SMS Messages

SMS notifications are sent exclusively to the school administrator (instructor) of Faith Bible Institute. No student or third-party phone numbers are stored or messaged through this system.

How Consent Is Collected

The administrator provides their mobile phone number and explicitly enables SMS alerts through the application's Notifications settings page. By entering their phone number and toggling on specific SMS notification types, the administrator affirmatively opts in to receive those messages.

No SMS is sent until the administrator:

1. Enters their phone number in the SMS Notifications section.
2. Enables one or more specific notification triggers.
3. Clicks Save Preferences to confirm their choices.

Message Types

The administrator may opt in to receive SMS alerts for any of the following events:

• A student sends a new contact message
• A student submits a paper (offline) test for grading
• A student completes a digital exam or test
• A new user registers on the platform
• A student's transcript (course grade) is created or updated

Message Frequency

Message frequency depends on school activity. Messages are only sent when enabled events occur. There is no scheduled or marketing messaging.

How to Opt Out

The administrator can opt out at any time by navigating to Notifications → SMS Notifications in the application settings, disabling all SMS toggles, and saving. Alternatively, clearing the phone number field and saving will immediately stop all SMS notifications.

Data Privacy

The administrator's phone number is stored securely within the application's settings database and is used solely for the purpose of delivering the notification types the administrator has opted into. It is never shared with third parties beyond Twilio, the SMS delivery provider.

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on the recipient's carrier plan.
